Chapter 1: The Power of Music
Hello, fellow musicians!
What song resonates with you the most?
At this very moment, as I sit in front of my screen, I find myself drawn to “When The Levee Breaks” by Led Zeppelin. However, I know that tomorrow my choice may shift to something entirely different.
Reflecting on the past, I want to share a pivotal moment in my life when music became my lifeline. Just recently, I published a piece that captures this sentiment. (Well, it was actually two weeks ago because I was enjoying a camping trip last week, but who’s keeping track?)
Game Over!
I thought we’d be together
Oh, happily, forever
But then those clouds came rollin’ in
And your love
It was wearing…
This song emerged a year after I initiated my divorce and moved back in with my parents at the age of thirty-seven. At that time, I wasn’t ready to pen the lyrics that matched the melody. Now, five years later, it’s exhilarating to strum those chords and sing its emotional lyrics into the great outdoors during my recent camping adventure. I finally feel liberated. What about you?
Quote of the Week
“Music is Love, Love is Music.”
I stumbled upon this phrase on a t-shirt a few months back, and it has lingered in my thoughts ever since.
Thank you for taking the time to read!
